Start and Finish at Arminel Hotel in the quirky town of Hogsback
Arminel Hotel, in the centre of Hogsback village, has been our race venue of choice since 2014, offering excellent accommodation and restaurant facilities and a perfect social finish area where you can promptly collapse on a lounger by the pool.
All chalets at the hotel have been reserved for the race and bookings are managed by Mountain Runner.

Family and friends of those running have no fear of being bored in this mystical fairy tale land.
The area is a haven of creativity with many arts and crafts studios to visit and workshops to attend.
Horse riding, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Birding and Abseiling with artesenal chocolate and coffee shops.
· Hogsback now has a well stocked Spar supermarket
· Fuel is available from the Petrol Station next to Spar, on the main street
· A mini ATM is available in Spar but only small amounts can be withdrawn subject to availability (which is often none on pay weekends)
DIRECTIONS TO HOGSBACK
From East London follow N2 to King William’s Town. Take the R63 towards Alice. 5km before Alice take the right turn to Hogsback.
From Port Elizabeth follow the N2 to Grahamstown. Take the R 67 towards Fort Beaufort, continue via Alice. 5 km after Alice turn left to Hogsback.
From Johannesburg follow the N1 to Bloemfontein. Take the N6 to Cathcart. Take the R 345 to Hogsback (gravel road) Alternatively, take the N6 to Queenstown , follow R 67 to Fort Beaufort, continue via Alice. 5 km after Alice turn left to Hogsback.
